Thank you! Preliminary tally shows gross proceeds of $27,000! Further info as soon as the reconcilation is complete. Thank you for an evening of fun, fellowship, good food, and funds for the operating budget of the church and for building exterior upgrades. A good time was had by all!

CELEBRATING THE AUCTION
It happens every year. The stress level increases, the work level rises, the worry factor kicks in, the intensity multiplies, the pleas go out and our prayers are always answered! Yes – I’m talking about the annual auction!
The auction committee asked and our St. Paul’s family replied in a resounding manner. This year you helped to obtain more donations and bring more guests to our fabulous event than we have ever experienced. Way to go!
And despite the troubling economy, we were able to raise unexpected amounts in our major fund raising event. Nearly $11,000 was donated to the Fund-A Need! After subtracting for expenses (caterer, table rental, publicity, credit card fees, etc.), almost $15,000 was contributed to the St. Paul’s operating budget! Everyone in the St. Paul’s family – whether you donated time, money, skills, or good wishes – played a played a big role in reaching those dollar figures. You should feel good about what you have done.
We are always looking to make the auction a better experience for our guests and volunteers. We did several things differently this year based upon input from last year… new venue, served a full dinner, toned down the "frills", etc. Your input is valuable. What did you like? What are the opportunities for improvement? What can be done to make the evening more entertaining or run more smoothly? We really are interested in what you think. Please provide your input to an auction committee member – Anne Lewis, Mary Lou Weitzel, David Anderson, or Kathy Knauff.
Every year working on the auction is an incredible experience. We worry, stress out, lose our cool, and fret about the results. But, then as we get closer to the date, we remind ourselves to let go and let God. And every single time, something amazing and unexpected happens and our auction is an unqualified success. In the end, God answers our prayers.
