Our Staff
Tim Devine, Pastor
The Rev. Tim Devine was ordained as a United Church of Christ pastor in 1987 and served UCC churches in Montpelier, Vermont, Wellesley, Massachusetts, and downtown Seattle, Washington before coming to St. Paul's. Before ministry he was a teacher in the Friends (Quaker) Schools in the Palestinian community of Ramallah, on the West Bank of the Jordan River. In addition to the Middle East, he has interests in liberation theology, Native American studies, disability advocacy, the welcoming church movement for persons who are sexual minorities, the labyrinth as a spiritual practice, and the recovery movement. Tim lives in Seattle with his partner, David Anderson. He is a graduate of St. Olaf College and Bangor Theological Seminary.
Carol Banach, Music Coordinator
Carol began with us in October 2011. She brings her experience in previous UCC and Lutheran churches to add grace and faithfulness to our worship.
Anne Lewis, Office Manager
Anne is the longest serving staff member at St. Paul's. She holds much of St. Paul's institutional memory and understanding. She schedules room assignments for all building use and can answer questions about current groups using our building. Her office hours are Tuesday-Thursday 9 a.m. - noon.
Rev. Del Elliott, Pastor Emeritus
Rev. Del Elliott served as St. Paul's pastor and teacher for twenty seven years from 1971 to 1998. Ordained in 1959 in the Disciples of Christ (Christian Church), Del retired from ministry when he concluded his pastorate at St. Paul's. Del is remembered and appreciated for his welcoming of the 12-Step movement into the building and the life of the congregation, as well as shepherding the Open and Affirming (ONA) process in 1995. He lives in Issaquah with his wife Mary Jane.
